Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, wrote his first childhood poem in the Congress Street home built by his grandfather, Peleg Wadsworth, before  going on to pen great classics including “Paul Revere’s Ride” and “Evangeline”.  Young Henry watched his father, Stephen Longfellow IV, help craft the Maine Constitution.

Babin takes us inside the historic Longfellow House and explores the city that shaped a beloved American poet.

Copies of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in Portland will be available for sale and signing courtesy of the author.
